Announcing the 2012 “Spring is in the Air” sale at K&G

On March 10^th K&G Bike Center will conduct sales events (unbelievably huge one-day only) in Centerville, Kettering (next to Harrigan’s), and Xenia.

• Store-wide sales – all three retail locations from 10am – 6pm
  • 15% off everything except bikes, whether in the store or ordered that day
  • All 2012 bikes – 10% off – whether in the store or ordered that day
  • Orders for bikes & gear must be paid in full on March 10^th to qualify for discounts

• Tent Sale 10 – 4 pm
  • Only at Kettering … must be paid for on March 10th
  • 30 bikes from 2009 and earlier will be featured under the big tent; the MAIN ACTION will be at Kettering. 2011 and 2010 bikes will remain in our 3 stores but we will fit you at the tent and we know which bikes are where so we can hook you up if you want one that is in Centerville or Xenia.
    • 50% off all bikes 2008 or older; 35% off all 2009s; 30% off all 2010s; 25% off all 2011 bikes; … and once again 10% off any 2012 bike.

Might have some pizza & pop too

• First-ever warehouse clearance sale 10 – 4 pm (look for the trailer/sign behind K&G Kettering)
  • Cash (or plastic) & Carry – No special orders taken at the warehouse sale – all sales final
  • Dozens upon dozens of surplus helmets, shoes, gloves, and a gazillion other items
  • 50% off all helmets; up to 70% off shoes
  • 100% clearance of Pearl Izumi clothing (and we have a bunch of it)
  • Bags, grips, pumps, bar tape, mini-tools, water bottles, parts, car racks – too many items to list them all
  • When these items are gone, they are gone, so come early for the best selection.

It looks to be another banner turnout for the Harrigan’s 5k!

Registrations are rolling in at a rate of 25 per day and growing, and we are squarely on track for another 1000+ runner event.

Cheryl’s will be ordering cookies for runners today according to the registrations we have. They will be at the after-party to pass out their cookies, so run fast to be early & secure your sweets for the day.

And, WATCH YOUR E-MAIL next Monday for additional surprise events taking place after the race.

In 2011, the Harrigans5k event accomplished the Miami Valley’s first-ever 5k race flyover. We tried to swing an Air Force fighter, but failed … fortunately our friends happen to own a chopper and treated us all to that fly-over.

They also donated a fabulous helicopter tour of Green County as a 2011 door prize – we don’t yet know if that will happen again this year but if it does, we’ll let you know right away.

Conditions permitting, our very own Harrigans5k Chopper One may make a return appearance for 2012.

And, NEW FOR 2012, we will have medals for the top 3 M/F wheelchair contestants, so encourage your friends to register.

U&R will award certificates for a new pair of shoes for 1st place male; 1st place female; 1st place Masters male; 1st place Masters female categories.

In addition, U&R will donate about 20 other items for door prizes.
